Hottest Upcoming Electric Cars of 2021 ”

Electric Vehicles have been around for a while and they are looking to be the car of the near future. With more manufacturers competing each year in the electric car space, more brands are getting competitive. With competition comes competitiveness and that Is always a good thing.

Electric cars are now the new black, I’d argue since Tesla put out the Model S, electric cars have been seen as modern cars with modern features like driving assists and sleek compartments. With charging stations growing exponentially, we might see a full electric take over one day and that’s not a bleak future at all.

But with more different electric cars, there are more difficult choices to be made in which one will be the one you buy. Here are some of the greatest looking ones coming in 2021.

Tesla Cybertruck

The Tesla Cybertruck has garnered many opinions since its unveiling in late 2019. It looks weird, to say the least. The truck rocks a unique retro-futuristic vibe with hard angles everywhere and a stainless-steel shell. It looks like something from science fiction, honestly.

The truck isn’t just a science fiction lover’s ideal car, however — it’s also surprisingly tough. Like, kind of indestructible. Although Elon Musk infamously boasted about the shatter-resistant glass on stage, only for an audience member to shatter two windows with apparent ease, another video posted just a few days later showed the truck’s window easily resisting a steel ball thrown at high speed from just a couple of feet away.

It’s supposed to be available for purchase from late 2021 to early 2022. Although it is pretty strange, the truck looks to be incredibly safe and will have a range of 500 miles with its 3-motor model.

Hyundai IONIQ Electric

Hyundai has a great selection of affordable cars and now, coming in 2021, a sub-brand IONIQ will be making a myriad of electronic vehicles from compact sedans to large SUVs. The sedan available now will get you 170 miles from a charge and offer you other features most electric cars out there provide like lane assist and fast charging. You can get the sedan today for around $30,000 or wait to see the models IONIQ puts out next year.

Polestar 2

The Tesla Model 3 will have a competitor next year in the form of the new Polestar 2. The new electric sedan made by Volvo will come in a hybrid and electric model and will have some cool innovations. The mirrors are all frameless and the interior features a unique lighter than leather material made to emulate swimsuits. The power It’s packing is no joke either, bringing 402 horsepower and 275 miles from a single charge.

2021 Mustang Mach-E

When you think Mustang your first thought probably isn’t electric cars, but now Ford is bringing its muscle line of cars to the green side with the new Mustang Mach-E. It will be the first Mustang to have 4 doors and extra room for storing stuff like groceries. Imagine the family Mustang.

This doesn’t sacrifice what the Mustang was prided for however, this electric car brings a whopping 480 horsepower and hits a 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. The car also has a great battery life of 300 miles on a charge, making this a pretty neat deal for 44 grand. I will say it’s going for more of an SUV vibe when it comes to aesthetics so it might deter some people who prefer a meaner look.

This honestly is the most surprising new electric vehicle on this list. The last thing you think of when you think electric cars is a huge 4-ton gas guzzler, wanted for its military ties and overtly dominating aesthetic. But that’s what we’re getting and it is shocking. Now owned by GMC, the Hummer is going to be all-electric in a truck or SUV model. It can be maxed out with 3 motors, 1,000 horsepower, and a range of 1000 miles. On top of that Lebron James is selling it, this is insane.

Electric cars seem to be getting cooler and cooler and with a lineup like this, it’s not hard to imagine a ton of people converting to electric. There is even a supposedly new cash for clunkers plan in the works so 2021 might be the time to trade in. The future is looking a lot greener now that the technology for electric vehicles is finally meeting up with the demands of a market used to gas power.
