The world of nursing wear is changing, friends, and this summer mamas can look cute and stylish in nursing tops that allow easy access to breasts without announcing NURSING TOP!
I adore these shift dresses with nearly invisible zippers that provide for nursing.
This adorable daytime dress has similarly hidden side zippers. It’s from Seraphine, sold directly by them and sometimes, if you’re lucky, on sale at Nordstrom.com. Generally their stuff is very cute, but clingy materials, which is not what we need in the first year after birth.
Gap supports “the girls” with a handful of nursing tanks, mostly with the traditional clip strap, but this one is less like a camisole and more like a real tank you can wear all summer.
This next top wins me over in how basic and versatile it is, but maintains interest with a scalloped, layered hem which allows the layers to be pulled aside for nursing. Bonus points for not clinging around the postpartum midsection.
Double bonus points for the low price point.
The same layered approach to a hemline is used here on a dress. I’m not sure how I feel about this colorway. It looks cute in the photo, but I probably wouldn’t be drawn to yellow in a store. Do you like?
It also comes in black, with a pale pink insert, and is currently $49 with free shipping from Nordstrom.com, so if you need summer office wear, I like this choice.
And a more casual top for everyday, this drapey tunic hides the openings within the pleats. Also from Savi Mom at Nordstrom (affordable!).
Finally, I am intrigued by the reviews of this ruffle tank on Amazon. Best for moms who don’t need thick bra straps. In other words: it offers no support on its own. So, if you can get away with a nursing tank underneath, this suspiciously cheap tank might be worth checking out.
